Dr Amir Johari

Chiropractor

Drawing on a lifelong involvement in sport and his own experience with injury, Amir treats all types of musculoskeletal conditions, with a particular interest in sports injury management, recovery and long-term injury prevention.

Amir’s connection with chiropractic began at the age of 12, when he first saw a chiropractor for a gym-related back injury. Encouraged by his mum after she experienced the benefits herself, that early visit sparked a deep appreciation for the profession that only grew through high school as he sought treatment for various sports injuries. Today, being able to care for his mum in return makes the work especially meaningful to him. Warm, considered and genuinely interested in the people he treats, Amir takes the time to understand each patient’s goals and tailor his care accordingly. His clinical training is complemented by his Level 1 & 2 Personal Training background, giving him a strong eye for movement, performance and resilience alongside pain relief. Outside of his clinical training, Amir spent two years volunteering with children with disabilities in Kuala Lumpur through the COVID-19 period — an experience that deepened his patience, empathy and respect for the trust patients place in their practitioner, and that continues to shape the gentle, attentive way he cares for the people who walk through the door. Amir treats patients from all walks of life and has high success in helping people find relief and recover from a wide range of conditions, including:
  • Back, neck, nerve & sciatic pain
  • Sporting, acute, overuse & work-related injuries
  • Posture correction
  • Headaches & migraines
  • Muscular tension, aches, pains & stiffness
  • Disc injuries, strains & sprains
What Amir finds most fulfilling is helping people get back to doing what matters to them — whether that’s returning to sport, staying active, or simply moving through daily life without pain. Seeing that progression from pain or limitation to confidence and independence is what makes the work rewarding, as is the privilege of meeting people from diverse backgrounds and being part of each patient’s journey toward better movement and health. Outside the clinic, Amir has been involved in sport for most of his life — an interest that continues to inform both his own training and the way he supports his patients.
